An Author’s Visit for the Primary Students at Bond

On January 18th, Lisa Bowen, the Author of the book “Eli’s First Winter Carnival”, visited Bond, and did a reading of her book to our students from Montessori to Grade Two. The story of the book is about a boy named Eli. Little Eli is very excited about going to his first winter carnival. He enjoys making snow angels, riding on a toboggan and helping his family make the goofiest snowman ever.

  A Gift from Bond Students – Volunteering at A Local Community
  On December 22nd, Bond students gave a unique gift by volunteering at Ellesmere Community Centre, to help for the annual Project Engagement program co-founded by the Toronto City Councillor Michael Thompson and his friend Vincent Gasparro. “This is the third year for Bond students to volunteer in this meaningful program.” said Ellen Guo, Manager of the Student Residence at Bond International College.
  Bond Grade 10’s Visited the Holocaust Education Centre
  On January 10th, the Grade 10 history class visited the Sarah and Chaim Neuberger Holocaust Education Centre in Toronto. Mr. Greg Macri, the Curriculum Leader of Humanities & Social Sciences and Canadian Studies at Bond, said this meaningful field trip went very well.
  An Elections Ontario Team Visited Bond
  On January 13th, a team from Elections Ontario visited Bond and ran a program for the Grade 10 Civics class. The program included a variety of activities that encouraged students to reflect critically on the possible role of emerging technologies on the voting process.
  New Season! U20 Basketball Games at Bond
  The 2017 season of U20 Basketball has begun! On January 11th and 18th, Bond’s U20 Basketball Team played two home games, and won 37-16 and 43-20. The next game will be at Bond, on January 23rd. Everyone is welcome to come out and cheer the team on!
  Are You Ready for Bond’s Talent Show?
  As Bond’s Talent Show gets closer, the Bond’s talents have become busier and busier to join the audition of the annual Talent Show since January 23rd.

  2017 RBC Toronto-Qinhuai Lantern Festival Light-up Celebration
  The 2017 RBC Toronto-Qinhuai Lantern Festival Light-up Celebration will take place on the evening of the Lantern Festival (February 11th, 2017) at Bond Education Group. Besides the Jiangsu-manufactured Palace Lanterns, you can also enjoy a variety of colorful, handmade lanterns shaped like a rooster, dragon, phoenix, and water lilies, which will continue to be lit until February 13th.
